Her debut novel, The Shotgun Wedding, inhabited by characters caught in an outlandish satire in a remote village in West Bengal, was on the Best Seller List of Aleph Book Company, as well as being shortlisted for Women AutHer Awards 2023 by the Times of India Group.

The Shotgun Wedding has been translated to French, Spanish and German and been displayed at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2024.

Besides this, Suchandra has also penned a collection of Bengali plays entitled Armani o Jamdani.

Another novel, coming up soon, Who Lit the First Flame?, is an adventurous attempt in reimagining and recreating a historical realm located in the heart of 19th century Calcutta.
